Realogy Again Named to Ethisphere’s List of “World’s Most Ethical Companies”

For the third consecutive year, our parent company Realogy has been named by Ethisphere Institute as one of the “World’s Most Ethical Companies.” It’s a great honor to be included in such an elite group of world-class companies and to achieve this global recognition. Realogy—and by extension, Cartus and all of our sister companies—is deeply honored to have our commitment to, and demonstration of, ethical leadership acknowledged in this way.

Ethisphere Institute, an independent center of research that promotes best practices in corporate ethics and governance, selected Realogy for this award, which recognizes organizations that continuously raise the bar on ethical leadership and corporate behavior. Realogy is one of just 144 companies in the world to be honored this year, and it is the only residential real estate organization on the list. This year, we are in the company of such leading international companies as General Electric, Google, Starbucks, UPS, and Visa, to name just a few.

Surrounded by Realogy employees, Chairman, CEO and President Richard Smith accepts the 2014 World’s Most Ethical Companies award from Alex Brigham, executive chairman and founder of Ethisphere Institute on March 20, 2014.

Ethical behavior is the cornerstone of our company culture and the driving principle behind how Realogy’s companies operate. Chairman Richard A. Smith said, “Our reputation is determined by the actions of our people. Our franchisees, customers and shareholders trust us to do the right thing as a company. In turn, we trust you to do the right thing as individuals. We believe in the quality of our people and in your ability to make good decisions.

“The enduring value of our commitment to ethics is that other people and companies can see our commitment, and so they choose to do business—and keep doing more business—with us because of it.”

In our competitive environment, with Cartus usually being in the middle of clients, customers, suppliers, home buyers and sellers, maintaining a business culture that is ethical and aboveboard is not easy. Our commitment to ethical business behavior clearly distinguishes us. It is an honor to be recognized for our values and integrity, so thank you, everyone, for your support and hard work to maintain the high standards that have resulted in a “three-peat” for Realogy and all of their business units!
